The Post Bulletin Asks Where is our Congressman?

"Residents of Minnesota's 1st District deserve a chance to prove that they can ask hard questions in a civil manner. We urge Rep. Finstad to give them that chance - and to prove that he's more than a faithful cog in the party machine," was the critical conclusion to a March 8th opinion from the Post Bulletin Editorial Board.
The editorial highlights the congressman was difficult to reach and seldom available for direct interactions with his constituents during his first term and this behavior has continued. He is silent on trade wars, possible cuts to Medicaid and drastic shifts in foreign policy - that is unless you were invited to his exclusive, unpublicized conference call.
The paper reminds readers and the congressman that, "Finstad doesn't represent just the people who voted for him...leaders are duty bound to hear and consider opinions contrary to their own."
